Just a reminder of the special meeting of the LAUCI General Membership on
Thursday, March 28, 1-2pm in ML570 to discuss the recommendations in the
"Report of the AdHoc Committee to Evaluate Professional Development Funding
Process" [attached]. Also attached is the original charge to this committee.
The AdHoc committee consists of:

There will be a special meeting of the LAUCI General Membership on Thursday,
March 28, 1-2pm in ML570 to discuss the recommendations in the "Report of the
AdHoc Committee to Evaluate Professional Development Funding Process" [see
attachment]. From my perspective this is an excellent report, identifying
issues raised about the current funding process from all relevant perspectives.
The report contains valuable comparable information and data from other UC LAUC
Divisions. The recommendations address many of the issues raised, and there is
further work identified for the LAUCI Professional Development Committee. I
would like to see our discussions at this meeting focus on the recommendations,
toward a goal of endorsement by the membership.
