CHARGE:

According to the LAUC-I Handbook, the charges for this committee as: "Upon request of the LAUC-I Executive Board, review and update as needed existing documents concerning matters relating to the academic review process for Librarians. Formulate responses to such documents, or to issues and questions regarding the review process, which are given to the Committee. Develop, as assigned, documents or policies relating to the academic review process. Other duties as assigned."

The charges for this academic year:

  1. Elect a chair before October 31. Committee shall meet at least quarterly, or more often as determined by the chair of the committee. (LAUC-I Bylaws)
  2. Monitor the progress of the new Academic Review Calendar.
  3. Present the revised edition of the Criteria for Librarian Personnel Action to the general membership for discussion, approval and distribution by January 31, 1997.
  4. Examine, analyze, and report on the policies and procedures governing formation and activities of Librarian search committees. Make a recommendation to the LAUC-I Executive Board by April 30, 1997.
  5. Regular reporting at general membership meetings is encouraged. Submit an annual report on August 1, 1997.
