RE: LAUC-I 2002/2003 Academic Librarianship Committee

[Review and update as needed, documents concerning matters determined by the Library Human Resources and LAUC-I. Formulate responses and develop documents relating to the above]. Other duties as assigned.

1. Select Committee Chair by October 31, 2002. (Article VII, Section 7b)

2. Meet with AUL for Personnel to determine this year’s plans, and to review her assignments for the Committee. Report to the LAUC-I EB at the meeting of November 25, 2002.

3. Address and gather input from the LAUC-I membership on "next steps" with Annual Plans to conclude your charge from the previous year. The suggested meeting date is, December 9, 2002.

4. Continue the outstanding work on Mentoring for LAUC-I.

5. Plan activities for National Library Week, in collaboration with the LAUC-I Executive Board and others.

6. Attend the LAUC-IEB meetings, by invitation on Jan 21, 2003; and the membership meeting on April 14, 2003 to present the plans for the "National Library Week "

7. Work with the LAUC-I student to create a system-wide LAUC-I Contacts Chart, to help LAUC-I keep up with UC-wide library developments and activities. For example, SOPAG, SLASIAC, UL's agendas, etc…

8. Meet at least once a quarter. If possible, report to the membership as needed during the year. Submit a brief annual report to LAUC – I EB no later than August 30, 2003

9. Make use the LAUC-I web site to document the work of your committee

10. Work with the LAUC-I vice Chair, write responses to the "Workweek Guidelines" to negotiate with Library Administration, as assigned by LAUC-I members.
