1. Minutes of 9/24/01 Executive Board meeting minutes distributed. Comments to be emailed to Steve by Nov. 7.

2. Fall Program: Viewing and Discussion of Stanley Wilder Video Generational Change in Librarianship.
Approved by board for fall program. Video to be followed by discussion on implications for UC and UCI. Statistics are available on UC librarians. Sisson suggested getting UCI statistics and MacLeod said Joy Bickham can generate librarian stats for UCI.

Field trip to "The World From Here" exhibit at the Hammer Museum in Westwood viewed as good idea. Program Committee urged to get RSVPs so bus or van can maybe be scheduled.

3. LAUC-I Web Site

Rick Zwies hopes to have the Web site current by Nov. 13.

Discussion on how the site can provide reports and other information relevant to the library. Reports could be posted to Web site and broadcast to membership at same time.
Manaka expressed desire that Web site not become substitute for people actually giving reports.

4. Distribution of Draft Agenda for LAUC Fall Assembly

Suggestions for new business:
a. Possible program on a system-wide level as a follow-up of the theme on demographics of the profession.
b. Get more material support for LAs to become librarians, e.g. reduced fees to attend UC library schools.
c. Information competency. Maybe LAUC could deal with this systemwide or LAUC-I could hold a local program.

4. Agenda for General Membership Meeting, Nov. 13

LAUC chair Debbie Murphy want to meet with all divisions and may be at UCI Dec. 10.
