Purpose: Susan Jarratt is the new Campus Writing Coordinator. As part of LAUC-I's
effort this year to draw attention to Information Literacy issues, Cathy Palmer
has arranged for Professor Jarratt to meet with LAUC-I to discuss the following:
-An overview of the activities and responsibilities of her position and office
-Her activities to date
-Her short term and long term goals for the program
-Any early successes?
-The challenges she faces
-Discussion of partnership opportunities between her program and the Libraries

3. Discussion of the "Report of the SOPAG Privacy Task Force" (45
min)
Purpose: SOPAG has recently released a new report for broad review. The report,
concerning privacy issues related to libraries, is available on the web at http://www.cdlib.org/libstaff/privacytf/
. A summary of the report, which was presented to SOPAG, is available from the
web page above, or directly at this link: http://www.cdlib.org/libstaff/privacytf/final_report.html.
The report will impact many aspects of libraries and the services we provide. The report has been released for broad review, including by LAUC-I. Susan Lessick has agreed to lead this LAUC-I discussion of the report. SOPAG will discuss the report at their May 10 meeting. I will be sending a summary of our discussion to Tammy Dearie, LAUC Representative to SOPAG, by May 3.
