LAUC TRAVEL GRANT

LAUC 2008 Spring Assembly Travel Grants
LAUC will
sponsor four to eight travel awards for members to attend the LAUC Spring
Assembly
on Wednesday,
May 7, 2008 at
UC Irvine. In addition to the usual business part of the meeting, the Assembly
will include a morning presentation from Stephen Abram from SirsiDynix entitled “Heading
for the 3.0 World: Technologies and Behaviors to Watch” and an afternoon
session by Brian Schottlaender (UL at UCSD) discussing the Final Report of
the Working Group on the Future of Bibliographic Control. I especially encourage
newer LAUC members to apply for an award to attend the Assembly. At least two

among the five southern campuses. Awards include the following support:

SOUTHERN TRAVEL AWARDS:
• Cost of roundtrip ground transport to the Bren Events Center, UC Irvine
Lunch and morning refreshments will be provided.
UC Irvine staff/librarians will provide transportation to/from John Wayne/Orange
County Airport for those flying in.
