Hi! I'm Gerry Munoff, The UCI Libraries are growing also. We’ve added over 40 new positions in the last 6 years, and we are continuing to recruit highly skilled people to help us grow. We also are continuing to make significant investments in our electronic and print collections, equipment, technology, and buildings every year.
I invite you to take a brief tour of this Web site and see the exciting and challenging opportunities we offer librarians at the UCI Libraries, and learn more about out librarians. All of us share a commitment to the creation of new knowledge, the pride of excellent service, and the satisfaction of being a part of a dynamic, growing, internationally-ranked research institution. And, of course, the scenic California coastline and mild weather is a nice background. Some librarians live on the hillsides looking towards the Pacific and stunning sunsets. Some of us live on the residential portion of our beautiful campus, some in the surrounding neighborhoods and canyons, and others in nearby cities throughout Southern California. There is a wide array of housing choices. Along with librarians from the other nine UC campuses, we comprise the Librarians Association of the University of California, a very active organization. There are many venues where we have the opportunity to collaborate with our colleagues at the other campuses and the California Digital Library. These shared opportunities and responsibilities are unique and make for especially vibrant research libraries with rich collections. So check us out. An exciting, challenging, and sunny future may await you at the UCI Libraries.
